Glasgow Freight Club in partnership with KC Group Shipping recently held a fundraising lunch in memory of late Managing Director Mr Raymond Clarkson. The lunch was held in Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on 17 May, with over 100 guests attending the inaugural “Raymond Clarkson May Lunch”. Friends, colleagues and business partners were entertained by award-winning comedian Scott Agnew.

During the luncheon event, a special feature of the Raymond Clarkson May Lunch was a charity raffle, generously donated by KC Group Shipping comprising of a 7-day holiday to Majorca, Spain. The money raised totalled £2000.00 with funds being donated to the Hospice.

Glasgow Freight Club and KC Group Shipping wish to express sincere gratitude to all attendees who dug deep on the day, supporting a wonderful cause in memory of a special friend and colleague.

With regards to why ACCORD – ACCORD is a fantastic local charity whose work has been seen first hand by members of the KC team amongst many others in the Glasgow freight community.  We have seen them provide valuable care for friends and family members over the years as well as providing counselling for those who may need it after losing their loved ones.  They are therefore very worthy recipients of the money raised at this year’s lunch

The Hospice wants to thank all of those at the Glasgow Freight Club for such a generous donation from the event, every donation we receive makes every moment count for our patients and their families. Thank you!
