For Lyndsay, ACCORD Hospice holds a special connection. In May 2013, she lost her mum after a long battle with cancer. Thanks to the compassionate support from ACCORD, her mum was able to spend her final days at home, where she experienced a peaceful, dignified death. The hospice staff not only provided professional care but also gave Lyndsay the support she needed during such a difficult time, leaving a lasting impression on her.
Now, as a Community Nurse Specialist at ACCORD, Lyndsay sees the life-changing impact the hospice has on families every day. ‘’Supporting ACCORD on our wedding day feels like the perfect way to honour mum’s memory, while giving back to the place that made a hard time just a little bit easier for us all’’.
Although getting married without her Mum will be difficult, this tribute fills Lyndsay with pride and love. "I love you, Mum. I know you will be with me on the day," she says.
‘’We are thrilled to announce that we will be getting married on December 21st, 2024, surrounded by the love of our family and friends. While your presence means the world to us, instead of gifts, we are asking for something deeply meaningful—a donation to ACCORD Hospice, a charity close to our hearts.’’
‘’We hope you'll join us in supporting ACCORD Hospice, helping them continue their incredible work for other families in need.’’
With love,
Lyndsay and Dale
