PALLIATIVE CARE & BEREAVEMENT COUNSELLOR

Hours: 21 Hours over 3 days
Contract: Initial 1 Year Fixed Term
Salary: £30,229 - £37,664 pro rata

An opportunity has risen within the Patient & Family Support Team at ACCORD Hospice. To meet the demand on this service and support the Team through maternity leave, we are initially looking to strengthen our Counselling Team during this period of 1 year – 21 hours per week over 3 days.  

There is the possibility of permanency for this role at the end of the term, which will be discussed and determined during this time.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate individual to join our Counselling Team. If you meet the following requirements we would love to hear from you:

  • Graduate counselling qualification.
  • A minimum of 4 years counselling practice
  • Experience in working within Palliative Care would be advantageous, with an understanding of loss & grief.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
  • Committed to caring for people affected by grief, loss and dying
  • Flexibility that may require evening and weekend working
